Grayson County Burn Ban / Alysia Kraft of Patti Fiasco/ The Outfit

Denver's The Outfit has been honing its take on indie rock over the last three years, finding its footing somewhere between power pop and garage punk. There's a knack for anthemic moments, earworm hooks that stay with you for days, but delivered with enough brash exuberance that it never feels saccharine. It's just solid, catchy rock music.

The recent Station Wagon Apocalypse single and 2013's Tough Kids EP, both released on indie label Hot Congress Records, showcase the band's clever riffs, skillful songwriting, and raucous energy.
