Consciousness is an abstract, how can it truly be explained in words? Through renderings of various paints, I challenge the way the viewer experiences art and themselves. I uncover the fallasies of these definitions, and the perception of consciousness, through surrealistic renderings of what consciousness is, could be, and entails. In my paintings, I create scenes residing in nature and incorportate symbolism using animals, color, and organic forms.
Each piece has a difference narrative which I am exploring. In Vague Rememberances (2018), I explore nostalgia as a feeling and experience within myself. Memories of who I am, thought I was, or remember being, are all very different yet fragile. This fragility is symbolized as white deer.
I introduce pomegranetes to symbolize the tartness of some memories and the discomfort I at times feel when looking back on my past-self. Similarly, Bitter to Sweet (2018) expresses the overcoming of hardships. Holding on to these hardships have made me bitter and create hate in my heart. A self-curated toxic environment has manifested for me internally and externally. Fluorescent lemons represent the internal battle, which pink fruit bats are feasting upon. The bats are symbolic of challenging my inner demons and allowing them to dissipate.
When I paint, nothing else in the world matters. My breathing, focused eyes, and steady hand are all in sync. Through the connection of myself and my craft, I am able to be introspective and tap into things about myself I need to refine or let go of.

Ryan Herr Music

Multi instrumentalist, composer, and producer, Ryan Herr, has been weaving his mix of live and electronic music for festivals, retreats and events throughout the world for nearly 20 years. He has been recording and performing with artists such as
Shaman’s Dream, The Polish Ambassador, Wildlight, Ayla Nereo and SaQi to name a few.

TROPO

With layers of beats, soaring violin and vocal melodies, spectral pads, and crunchy bass oscillations, TROPO compels their audience to dig deep within themselves for a reciprocal and energetic dance set. TROPO infuses the human element in their all original, uplifting, and completely live performance.

Max Mackey

I started playing music when I was a kid
My older brother wanted me to play bass in his band. I bought a headless stein burger style bass and a Gorilla amp. I knew nothing about music...
